As an environmental educator, I can proudly say that my eco-mission is rooted in environmental awareness and education. At the heart, or heartwood, of my mission, you'll find hands-on experiences that connect students and community members to environmental topics. The bark of my eco-mission focuses on ecology–or the interconnectedness between all things. Nothing is ever black or white–there's always at least one gray area. The branches hone in on sustainability and the intertwining of environment, economics, and social equity. The leaves represent the actions we can take and instilling those values in others. And finally, the flowers represent the results of education and awareness. The action, if you will. And sometimes those flowers produce fruit that bear seeds and start the process all over again in someone new.
