Project Goal Summary
The goal of the renewable energy campaign at Emory University is to spread awareness about renewable energy on college campuses and to help influence Georgia's energy policy. Last year, two Emory students spearheaded the initiative to get involved in local legislative advocacy efforts by testifying at a Georgia Public Service Commission Hearing about Georgia Power's three year energy plan. In addition, during Emory's climate week, students learned about different forms of renewable energy and its connection to climate policy.ξ
