Project Goal Summary
This is a residence hall activity that some peers and I are doing. We are holding a community building and education "party" in one of the main rooms in one of our residence halls and plan on offering desserts as a way to get people involved. With the chilly Michigan winter coming up, we really want to stress that turning up the thermostat isn't the most sustainable way to keep warm. By educating students about insulation (for example, don't crank the temperature up to 80 and then open the windows) and alternative (keep your thermostat at 65 and wear a sweater) ways to adjust to the cold temperature, we hope to decrease the amount of energy wasted on heat this winter.ξ
