Project Goal Summary
This project was a very unique one for our campus. It started with the Orientation Committee meeting that wanted to hand out water for families moving students into residential halls. With Environmental Stewardship as one of our signature themes, it was decided that the best option was 5-gallon jugs of water along with reusable cups. The only problem with this solution was that our dining services did not have enough cups to provide water for everyone. So, I researched, received samples, spoke with the Committee, Dining Services, and the Sustainability Office to get their feedback, and ultimately ended up purchasing 2,000 8 oz. cups, made in the USA, and from a local supplier. This was a very successful project that brought together three groups to make a positive change for Bemidji State University.
