I wish to help individuals and communities learn more about the importance of regenerating biodiversity starting with our own yards and communities, and spreading the word to everyone throughout the world. It is crucial to adopt best practices such as planting plants and trees native to your area, leaving the leaves, avoiding the use of pesticides and herbicides and gas-powered leaf blowers. I commend the towns that encourage these best-practices. They should serve as models. We can do better and get more towns across the nation (and world) to standardize this. We need to do better with urban reforestation as well. I am passionate about this in my personal life. I would like to devote my career to this as well.
