Hello everyone, I found out about this great opprotunity! It would look great on your resume! :-)
Please Save the Date for the
School Environmental Action Showcase (SEAS) 2017!
Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 9AM to 2:30PM
George Mason University's Center for the Arts
What is SEAS?
If you haven't been to SEAS before, you're in for a real treat! SEAS is a place to see student teams from across the region at work. The teams come to SEAS to celebrate the "Green" or "Eco" work they are doing at their schools and in their communities. The students teams are applying STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) concepts to real, authentic environmental problems they identify. They develop action plans to solve the problems and go to work - reducing waste, conserving energy, providing habitat for wildlife, creating sustainable food programs, cleaning watersheds, etc., all the while providing valuable services to their communities.
What is Your Role?
This year, we will once again have a Partner's Village set up around the beautiful Mason Pond. As a Partner organization, we ask you to man a table in one of the tents and provide an interactive activity or display for groups of students. The students are generally upper elementary through high school ages. They will move through four 40-minute rotations between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM, so something that can engage a group of about 20 students for 10 minutes at a time and that can be repeated will work perfectly. You will have more than one group of students per rotation.
