My Fun Side
My favorite planet friendly activity is:
making art, writing, or singing!
One of my eco-guilty pleasures is:
browsing eco-friendly products online...I'm a sucker for Life Without Plastic or Trash is for Tossers!
If I were an animal, I would be:
My favorite wild place is:
My favorite way to get outdoors is:
running, paddle board yoga, or simply wandering!
On a More Serious Note
I am driven to make a difference in the world because:
our built environment is replacing our appreciation for nature. Generations are losing their connections with the natural world, and if people don't value nature they will continue to exploit and degrade it until there is nothing left to appreciate.
The greatest skill I bring to a team is:
my listening skills. I am a quick learner and love to engage with other to hear their ideas, understand their perspectives, and collaborate to make a plan.
My proudest moment working on community projects was:
when I completed a nutritionally balanced garden plan to feed a family of four in Indiana for six months. It took a lot of research in areas I was previously unfamiliar with!
If I could change one thing about my community it would be:
the perspectives on (or ignorance of) sustainable behaviors. It shouldn't be "weird" or "too much work" to protect the environment that gives us life!
