Project Goal Summary
We're on a mission: to connect ourξcommunity, to make good use of agricultural excess, and to reduce hunger and improve nutrition in Adams and Franklin Counties, PA.

The Gleaning Project coordinates volunteers to get out to farms,ξorchards, andξgardens toξpick - or pick up - fresh fruits and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste. ξ

Volunteers thenξdistribute that good food to community partnersξworking to alleviate hunger and improve nutrition. ξOur community partners include: food pantries, shelters, senior centers, doctors and dentists targeting low-income communities, WIC, community soup kitchens, other needs assistance agencies, and school hunger-relief programs.

Can gleaning end hunger in an area as agriculturally rich as ours? ξCan our community work together to share all the bounty and benefits of fresh fruits and veggies grown right here in South Central PA?ξ

We're going to find out. ξThe Gleaning Project invites you to help us all.ξ
