The Corps Network is partnership with the U.S. Forest Service on recruitment and outreach efforts for a 9-month paid internship opportunity at Nebraska NF – Bessey Ranger District starting in March 2019. This placement is part of the Resource Assistants Program - a rigorous and immersive, paid internship for individuals interested in Forest Service careers.

The Resource Assistant (RA) intern will perform various work assignments involving planning, monitoring, and implementing recreation and natural resource management, visitor assistance services, and interpretation:
 
  • Develop interpretive programming, orientation talks and environmental education;
  • Conduct nature walks and demonstrations for the public, local community, and school groups; 
  • Conduct surveys and interpret data;
  • Develop interpretive materials (brochures, guidebooks, handouts, and exhibits);
